You must first activate your membership in order to access your VIA Rail Travel voucher codes. Learn how to activate your membership here.
Once activated, in the app tap Explore -> Deals and then find the VIA Rail Offer. You can also find this deal by clicking a VIA Rail banner on the app when you see it, or by searching for it using the search function.
The travel voucher code for your VIA Rail ticket can be found under the VIA Rail Offer. Use the travel voucher code when you book your ticket and get a one-time discount of 50% off regular fares. You must book your reservation online at viarail.ca using the travel voucher code that appears on the screen.
- Copy the discount voucher by clicking the yellow "Copy" button next to the coupon code below.
- Click on the yellow "Get This Deal" button below or visit viarail.com
- Begin to book your ticket(s). Select one-way or round-trip ticket(s), the origin/destination cities, your travel dates, and the number of travellers according to type (only children, infants are eligible under your coupon code). Do not add your voucher as a "Discount code" in this step.
Press the "search" button.
- Choose your preferred travel class and fare for BOTH legs of your journey. This offer is NOT available for Escape fares or Prestige fares.
- You can continue as a guest or create an account. Add passenger information.
- Select seats if desired. Other adults booking tickets to travel with you are advised to contact VIA Rail to have their seats moved nearby after purchasing separately.
- Click "Review & Pay". Click "Add a travel voucher" and enter your Canoo coupon code from the app. Make sure to include the whole code including "PR ICC".
The price of the ticket(s) will be adjusted automatically. Only 1 code is required even if you are travelling with dependent minor children. Proceed to payment.
- Once payment is made, you will receive your confirmation and boarding pass(es) by email.
- Identification required. Passengers must present the following pieces of ID upon request by VIA Rail personnel, including onboard : VIA Rail travel voucher available on your Canoo app and a government-issued photo ID

IMPORTANT NOTES:
- The VIA Rail code is valid for 1 year from the date you activate your Canoo membership. We recommend that you book your trip, pick up your tickets, and travel both legs of your journey within this time period.
- When you pick up your ticket, VIA Rail staff may ask to see your Via Rail Offer screen on the Canoo app as proof that the same code was used to book the ticket you are traveling on.
