We require that you scan your citizenship certificate rather than manually enter your information for a couple of reasons:
- We need to protect the integrity of the program. If we allowed manual entry of information, anyone could provide false information and access the program! If you are not sure if you are eligible for the program, please visit this Help Centre article to learn about eligibility.
- We need to verify your information. During the scanning process, the app is taking up to three (3) scans of your whole certificate - not only the barcodes. The information it pulls from these scans is used to generate your profile. With this system, we ensure that your profile contains your correct information.
